I wish

I wish i had the answers when it comes to raising my kids - or at least some insight as to whether i'm on the right track or not.

I wish i could always be the motivated, active, healthy, strong, fit, busy, accomplishing-things person in real life that i am in my head.

I wish the internal workings and functioning of my mind didn't depend so much on his input to keep humming along smoothly.

I wish we had more time for his input, or he had more energy, or bandwidth, or opportunity, or desire, or inclination, or whatever it is that there isn't as much of now.

I wish i didn't miss it so much.

I  kind of wish i didn't know what i was missing.

I wish i didn't wish for things, I wish i could be content with what is.

  1. "If wishes were fishes…", huh?

You do not wish alone, my friend.
I, too, wish to be All The Things at All The Times...

Here's one I think maybe we should include:
"I wish I could see myself the way others see me."

Funny how we always forget about that one, isn't it?

    *bump*

    1. My dad always used the, "If wishes were horses..." But yes - same point. And yes - i tend to willfully ignore that other one, but point well taken. I get torn between being content with here and now, and the other saying: A man's reach should exceed his grasp..."

    1. That is good advice abby - i want to keep working. I'm just feeling a little directionless recently - which means maybe i'm not working quite where i should be.

    Fellow wisher here too.
My magic wand doesn't seem to be working quite properly these days.
I think sometimes, feeling directionless is good because it might mean that there is more working than not--we don't feel churny in the middle of a crisis usually ;-)

  4. I hadn't looked at it that way - it does mean we aren't in the middle of a crisis - i'm pretty focused during crises. I don't like the drama - but i do like the focused feeling. Thank you!
