mine

You're mine, I own you.....

Within societies, throughout history, across cultures -

A construct that causes oppression, destruction, injustice, and abuse on a grand scale and encourages it, condones it and looks the other way between individuals.

You're mine, I own you...

Between two people, the right two people -

A most powerful, overwhelming, and loving way to be.  A statement of simple fact that slays me, melts me, draws me in, and raises me up all at the same time.

    1. A lot of things hit me all at once (figuratively) that made me wonder about the idea of owning and being owned. Thanks.

  2. Wowsa... exactly the words that H said would encompass the entire contract last night. (We'll see where that goes.)

The very best part - the very best - is when you can hear the word, Mine! and he didn't actually *say* anything. But you heard/felt it. :)

    1. That does cover it, doesn't it? Of course, it leaves a lot open to interpretation too, but maybe that's a good thing. And yes, all the looks and touches that convey 'you're mine' are so powerful.
