Pain

It's a funny thing,

And a difficult, unwieldy tool i think.

But it's where my mind goes.

When my mind goes off a million scattered directions at once - which is unhelpful, and unproductive, and dangerous to my overall state of being.

When the need is palpable.

  1. I completely understand this post. When I am feeling sad, unfocused or stressed I need it, I ask for it and I sometimes I cry when I can't have it. Yes, I cry because I am not getting the pain I need to make my cry. I understand.

    1. mouse - it's clear to us too that there are really good reasons to have a lot of different ways to communicate this kind of thing between us, i think we just haven't got those figured out so much yet. Thanks.

  3. It's really the only thing that can get me where I need to be sometimes. Thankfully he knows and takes me there.
Nodding at both dancing barez - on crying when the need to cry is not met,
and Mouse- oh, much quicker to be sure!
I guess I'm not alone in this. :-)

    1. Elysia,
thanks. I think there are a lot of us really. It's such an odd thing to step back and look at, but so real and almost overwhelming at the time.

    1. aisha,
shortcut - that's a really accurate way of looking at it. And lovely yes - sometimes a perfectly good option - but we do need to know more than one route i think. thanks.
