the thing about the rule..

The rule is i'm not allowed to scratch if i have an itch (the literal kind - this is so very non-sexual) in his presence.

The thing with this rule is that he has absolutely no idea how often i itch and don't scratch.

He only sees when i break the rule.

There's a metaphor in there somewhere.....

  1. LOL...sorry i know it is not funny i have been there..."did i give you permission to scratch your nose"?.....so diabolical..no rewards for being good...they never know when are....it is reassuring to know i am not alone.

    1. No - not alone at all - the no scratching is just a really good example because there is no way he could know i itch unless i tell him - which is his goal, for me to have to tell him of my needs, to let him address them.

  2. I have wondered, for a very long time, if I am the only one who chafes at this... All the things that I do -- or do not do, that go totally unnoticed. Not even unnoticed, just completely out of his view. Arrgghhhh!

    1. I know i've felt that feeling - not just unappreciated but downright unrecognized for doing all the things i do, the household things, the kid things... I suppose everyone must get that sometimes. Our D/s journey has actually helped me move past a lot of that resentment, or maybe just growing up. Though i certainly still have my days... But the rules thing is different than that somehow, maybe it's that it's things that i wouldn't do or not do or need to consider at all except for the rule. It is frustrating that he makes the rule and doesn't see all the times i do comply - just when i don't. Odds are - he knows this and it factored in to the making of the rule.

  4. Cruelest rule everrr. *Said while furiously scratching the itch that was inspired by just thinking about having to ask permission to scratch*

    1. It could be worse - it only applies when i'm with him. Thank gods.

  5. I'd so be running in the other room to scratch all the time. That is a hard one :~)

  6. Which works sometimes - but in bed - somehow my body decides that's when it suddenly itches the worst.
