play fits

Sometimes play really just is the right word for it.

Not sand castles at the beach, or frisbee in the park.  Those are nice too.

But - all out, mud bowl, pushed and shoved around, no idea which end is up and can't respond fast enough, existing in just your body and out of breath, trying to keep up, straining to meet the demands, no thoughts just doing.....

That kind of play....

  2. I always want more playtime and pester him to take me back to the playground. I would be ashamed except her created this and I think he likes it on some level. I hope you get to go soon.

  3. I always want more playtime too, though I try to be more gracious about it than our four-year-old is, since having two people going "play with me, play with me, play with me!" can't be too much fun for the man. :)

    1. too true - I do fail at gracious often enough. I (we) are working on how he would have me communicate this.

  6. The best kind of play is the kind where you don't have to think about whether or why, you just immerse yourself in the fun of the game. Enjoy!
